Literacy Week valedictory function held at Springdales School
Dr Ruhee Dugg, Commissioner (Land Disposal), Delhi Development Authority (DDA) graced the function as the chief guest.
In a tribute to Dr Mandela, the audio-video presentation Mandela Day – The Next Chapter reflected on the timeless lessons and leadership traits from his life story.
Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan organised a Special Assembly on the occasion of International Mandela Day on Thursday, 18th July 2019 at 9.30 a.m. in the School Auditorium.
The Annual Event was presided over by H.E. Mr Barend Johannes Joubert, Acting High Commissioner, South African High Commission, New Delhi.
The school choir celebrated the determination of the natives to overcome oppression through their rhythmic song presentations. In a tribute to Dr Mandela, the audio-video presentation Mandela Day – The Next Chapter reflected on the timeless lessons and leadership traits from his life story.

The dancers of the school presented the colourful presentation “Viva Mandela.”
Dr Jyoti Bose, Director, SpringdalesSchools, urged the students “to hold the values and beliefs of Nelson Mandela by translating them into action for the benefit of society”. She further told that his legacy will always live on for the world to emulate and understand.
In his speech, H.E. Mr Barend Joubert congratulated the school for its efforts and suggested that the students of both nations should collaborate to achieve these goals. Mr Joubert further stressed upon the audience the dire need to remain rooted in our values and to carry forward the rich legacy of inspirational heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of others.
